The video below will show you how to add a custom dictionary into MS Word 2010.

It is important to know how to load words into the custom dictionary because you may have multiple medical dictionaries that you want MS Word to pull from when doing a spell-check.

Most word processors will not recognize complex medical terms.  This is why you need to have a custom dictionary with correctly spelled medical terms. Otherwise you will continue to see words that may be spelled correctly underlined in red!

The other problem is if you do happen to spell a complex medical word wrong MS Word will not know the correct spelling unless you have added it into the dictionary.

If you do misspell the word, you will want MS Word to know the correct spelling to suggest it to you.
