Authentic Doctor Dictation in Digital CD Format to be used with a Digital Medical Transcription Foot Pedal / Transcriber. (Course #2, #3 and #4 include a digital transcriber / foot pedal.)

Our dictation has all the medical fields that you will need to learn to do medical transcription. We do not just train you in a few, you are trained in all the ones that MTs need to learn. The dictations also include ones that are easy to hear, a little harder to hear, Doctors with accents, etc. The reason for this is to expose you to any type of situation you might run into when listening to the dictation that the Doctor you work for may give you to transcribe.

Timer Program - To be used to time your medical transcription work to accurately get your accurate LPH.

Medical Terms for Word Speller Dictionary - this will import into Microsoft Word - This helps when you are transcribing your work and happen to type the word incorrectly, the speller will let you know you have ms-spelled it. Most Word processors do not recognize medical terms as spelled correctly. Without a medical dictionary imported into Word you will waste a lot of time trying to tell it that the word really is spelled right. It is important to have the words as they are suppose to be spelled imported into the dictionary. We provide this for you.

Bonus CD that will cover the elements of inside the human body.

Medical Report Format Training - (It is important to know how the proper format of each type of medical report transcribed should look. While some doctors may have their own preference to bold, capitalizing, it is still important to know how the transcribed report should look.)

Many companies (not just MT Training companies) will have their customers call long distance for support questions. We provide our customers in the USA a Toll Free number for support questions.(Note - Outside of the USA will have to call our local #) There is a good reason for this! How many times have you called a support line, and you have been put on hold forever or have to leave a message on the voice mail for support team to call you back. Both ways can cost you money: 1. If you are put on hold for a long time it is on your phone bill that you end up paying for it. If you have to keep leaving messages because the company might be busy it is on your phone bill each time. With our company either way it is on "our “phone bill when you use the Toll Free number.

Certificate at completion of the course.

Job Assistance at the completion of the course. A lot of times companies will want an MT to be experienced before hiring is considered. However, when you have completed a reputable training course that Dr's; Hospital’s, and MT contracting companies have an acceptable agreement to consider "New MTs" with a transcription test provided by the physician looking to hire you. We will offer this service to you for up to 2 years after you have completed our medical transcription course. This means that if you are not happy with the physician you are working for and want to locate another position, we will assist in this with you!

If you choose Course #4 -

You will get a digital foot pedal / transcriber and a laptop with the above course materials.

(Option #4 with the laptop is a limited time offer - we will not always be offering this course option). Laptops are NEW (Usually Dell ) and come with 80 Gig Hard Drive or better (Most have 120 Gig HD or more) , 1 to 2 GIG of memory or better (most have 2 gig of memory), CD/DVD Rom, Wireless Internet Card (you will have to have an Internet Service Provider, DSL, or other Internet Access. A router would be needed to use the laptop wireless. With out a router you could connect directly to the Internet Access through the Ethernet or Phone Cord with DSL that your ISP provided). 

*Laptops do NOT come with MS OFFICE. If you already have MS Word you should be able to load onto the laptop.

*** You will need MS Word for this course. If you have MS Office it should have MS Word with it.

If you do not have MS Office and want to get MS Office Basic (Word 2007, Excel 2007 & Outlook 2007) with your laptop enrollment, there is a fee of $150.00

Laptops come with Windows Vista. If you do not want Windows Vista and would prefer to have Windows XP then there would be a fee of $100.00 to have Windows XP put on the laptop. If you get the Windows XP option, they would also include a CD of Windows Vista so if you ever decide to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista you will already have the CD/Program.

If you choose to add MS Office Basic and/or Windows XP to your laptop enrollment, it will need to be paid for at the time of enrollment. If you are on a payment plan choice, the software would still be charged and paid for up front at the time of enrollment.

Note - The MS Office Basic comes with Word 2007, Excel 2007 and Outlook 2007. The fee of $150.00 is what the manufacture will charge to add this program with this laptop. We are not charging you extra.

The fee for Windows XP instead of Windows Vista of $100.00 is what we are charged to have Windows XP loaded on the laptop. We are not charging you extra.

Items that are NOT Included in Course 1, 2, or 4 ( #3 Ultimate MT Course Package has all mandatory Course Items and much more!):

We will let you know where you can find these items. Most can be found at online book stores such as Amazon, Barnes & Nobel, Etc. You may even find some on E-bay

Keep in mind that most of these items you will use for both your training and your transcription work as an MT.

*** Stedman or Dorland's Electronic Medical Dictionary - We let you know where to purchase such items as electronic dictionary, which costs an average of $60 - $85.00.

*** AAMT (Now AHDI) Book of Style - $40 - $90 (This will depend on the version and where you get it at. Some places are cheaper than others.

***AAMT Book of Style Student Workbook - $50 (This will depend on the version and where you find it online).

The AAMT Book of Style and Student Workbook mentioned above are a Must for ALL Students. This is an important part of the style and format of the transcription section of the training and you will use this during your training and also when you work as an MT.

* Prescription Drug Reference Book - Average Price - $15.99 - $39.99
While we recommend a drug reference book, some students use an online drug reference site to look up the names of the medicines for their transcription work. This is more of a personal preference.

**Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology - If you are Not a Nurse, and have never had any training in Anatomy & Physiology then you need to get this book to use along with our course. - Average Price - $40.00 - $50.00 Depending on where you get it.

* Typing Tutor - If you feel you need to improve your typing skills then we also recommend getting a typing tutor called - Mavis Beacon (There are other ones online, however this is the best one in our opinion to work on both the typing speed and accuracy) Average Price - up to $19.99

*** Digital Foot Pedal - If you get a course that does not have a foot pedal with it such as Course #1, #3, or Used you will need to purchase one before you start the transcription part of the course.

If you got course #2 or #4 then your course will already include the digital foot pedal.

You will need to have a computer that has Microsoft Windows XP or Vista. It does NOT have to be a laptop. This is only a personal preference as to if you wish to use a desktop computer or a laptop computer. Either one is fine.

If you already have a computer that is not real old and has MS Windows XP or Vista then you probably do not need to get a new computer.

You will also need to have the program Microsoft Word for both the course and for working as an MT.

***NOTE***
You will still save a lot of money by getting the above recommended items on your own instead of paying 3x what they would cost you through a course that marks the price up. Not all courses will mark up the price that much, just keep in mind that you can get them on your own and save some money.
